Remember all of the hoopla regarding the "sticktion" in the WH's joystick? I saw some people on SimHQ write that they were returning their WH because, "I can't fly with precision because of this." Umm Hmm.

Here's the best part: my stick's "sticktion" went away in a couple of months. Now it's as smooth as a really smooth thing. (didn't feel like actually coming up with a similie). Patience, young Jedi. hehe

All that aside, sorry your throttle isn't all it should be Nu-. I'm sure you'll whip it into shape.

    Hey NRG,

Do you have any shots of the slew switch from the inside? I'm keen on finding out whether or not it can be easily modded...

About 5 minutes time with all the picture taking :P

    Here you go:

Small screw has to be unscrewed first (not necessarily in order you can do it after you unscrew the main ones)

Then the main screws in the back of the handle

The inside - collie hat and slew button

    Handle side

    Thanks for the pics, Nu-NRG.

It looks like the whole slew switch assembly is one piece, so removing the fixed portion surrounding the microstick doesn't look like an option...

I wonder if the whole assembly could be removed and replaced with a new slew unit from these folks:

    http://www.aerotronicsllc.com/f15throttle.htm

I might send them an email and see how much the component costs. I bet it's expensive...

Yap noodle. The entire switch is one piece. It would be interesting to see if it can get modded - replaced with something that resembles the actual stuff :P
