This airliner is one of latest release by Airbus. Not so common in our busy skies. Alicante Airport, Spain.
Baxter (19Mar16)
Apron Z - 25 positions (wingspan 10m) or 12 positions (up to 20m)
Apron S - 7 helicopter positions
Apron V - 12 positions (wingspan 20m)
Apron P - 6 positions for tactical transport aircraft (C-130, C-27J, C-295) and two for strategic (An-124, C-5, C-17)
Runway is currently 2420mx45m, but will be extended in the near future to 3000m (white parts on the GE sat view). Also currently it's strictly visual airport, but we already have DVOR/TCN, ILS and NDBs on test, so when all the training is completed, and the whole runway put in use, it's gonna be a Cat 1 airbase.
A couple of years ago, one of the A350 prototypes flew in to Ljubljana for wet runway testing. I arrived at work at around 9am and the collegues asked if I have a camera with me. After they explained why, I thought they were joking, but they were not.
Last week, when I was flight sim grounded due to PC issues I at least I enjoyed some sim time
