Good, the butt kicker doesn't work with it USB headphones.
Just ordered a buttkicker 2, inbound early next week. Just wondering what the best settings are???
I'll let you know Smurf later next week, but it's gonna be good
I think im going to pick one up also...129.95 at fspilotshop.com! Where are you going to mount it on ur chair gunny? I dont have a center post on mine I might have to get creative!
The problem with but kicker (I know, I used to have one) is that all sound from the sound card is passed through the transducers -including all voice transmissions. Even with the frequency cut off a lot of the wrong sound still gets through. What we need is for Dcs to write code into the sim to support SIMVIBE. It is the new improved software that drives the same transducers but in a more specific and tunable way. Now that is the new awesome.

I did write to Wags about this - it makes it so immersive it's up there with Trackir in my opinion.
I take it that fspilotshop.com is a US site only? Not sure what your setup is Baxter, but on my chair there's a spar running left to right under the front and rear edge of my seat. So going mount it on one of those, that way the 'piston part' should be right under my butt!!!
Anybody else had any 'doings' with the ButtKicker 2?
Oscar, was that a Kicker 2 you have reported on?

I think theyd do intl dont see why not....im curious if you can just mount it directly to a seat without the arm like the bigger ones can
Yes it was BK2.
Butt Kicker is a company selling hi quality transducers which plug into the sound card output. You can pick up low quality transducers on eay that do the same thing for about $20! So you can choose how much you want to spend.
The key is the software in between the transducers and the sim. Taking the signal direct from the SoundCard will give you low bass rumble for any sound the SC hears. No support by the sim required for this to happen.
Where simvibe is so good is that it takes its cue from the output signals of the sim - but this means DCS has to write the output code for it.
Ie fire a gun - send this signal, gear down, send this signal - you get the idea. Anyways simvibe reads this code and produces sound based on that code. So long story short you can tune via the simvibe software for different effects and different intensities to your liking - and your friends voices don't come up and tiggle your anus every time they speak to you - unless you like that sort of thing of course....
