    Warthog Stick

Just received a brand new replacement HOTAS Warthog Stick (my 4th replacement so far!!). Anyway when I look in control options (DCS World) the throttle/mouse etc are shown as a control option, but the stick is not. All buttons on the stick do not work (normally jumps to the selection in the options controls menu if assigned). Nothing works stick wise if the sim is fired up either (as you would have thought if its not in the control options menu). (The throttle works fine).

So I have uninstalled the warthog drivers and tried again, when they were plugged in, both drivers install correctly and system shows them working normally. But still no stick. I once again uninstalled the drivers and re-installed using the drivers of the thrustmaster web site. Problem still as above. I have also uninstalled DCS and all components associated with it and reinstalled. I can confirm I'm using the correct version of world and sim loads and works fine. I'm starting to think if the stick is broken and thinking about sending it back, but before I do I was wondering if anybody has any ideas or had this problem before? I won't be able to do any investigation on the computer until evening on Monday, but any help will be much appreciated.

    Cheers guys.

    Damn gunny, that sucks.

Try different usb port, try different pc/laptop. If the problem is there as well I'd say the stick is dead.

I just happened to read this link " Stick not working " a few days ago

    Different USB port for starters.
Then I would try to update FW (as instructed by TM) to see if it will do it. If not then it is kaput

So glad my tm is working fine. Hope you get yours sorted ASAP !

Note to self, don't sell the x52. Keep it as a backup stick.

Just a update on the new stick, All is good once again and the new throttle and stick are the best ones I've ever owned. So a quick message for those thinking about taking the plunge, do it!! If I had more trouble with my HOTAS in the future I would just keep going back for a new one, its as simple as that. There great!!!

Wow Gunfighter, I am feeling really blessed right now that mine has worked perfectly (so far) right out of the box.
Glad to hear that it worked out for you in the end!
The rumors of my demise are premature. Ok, I've died twice but I keep coming back, I'm worse than a stray cat!

I am glad to hear you got that sorted out. What a nightmare.
When I picked mine up locally 2 of the 3 in the store has dented boxes or holes in the box. It seems like the shipping companys or the vendors are not treating these things with the care they should.
I have seen several people posting online about similar runs or bad units and taking months to get a good one. So you are not alone in having to go through several units to get a good set.
This hardware is amazing. And it has made all the difference in the world when it comes to learning to use the a-10c. I cant believe I played with Logitech extreme pro before.
