    Replace color of smoke

It is possible to replace the white smoke with red or any other color smoke or increase smoke for Hydra 70 smoke rockets? White smoke for marking targets is very difficult to detect in towns. There's always smoke from chimneys.

    Short answer, yes.

Long answer, it would mean modifying files that servers do integrity checks on them and your connection would fail

You could do it, but it's probably something that would have to be done as an official mod. And given that it wouldn't be realistic (WP is always white) I don't see it as something we'd do.

Hopefully in the not too distant future ED will make a better (more realistic) visual effect for WP. WP munitions don't actually produce a smoke plume, but rather an "explosion" of smoke over an area all at once.

Regarding having difficulty spotting WP marks, the same problem is there IRL. And in such situations you would just have to use alternate methods of marking the target and/or talking people on to it.

In that regard it's probably better to mod the chimney smoke. Dunno if it's possible but if it's anywhere it's probably either in DCS World\Bazar\shaders\effects\PFXSmoke2.fx or DCS World\Bazar\shaders\effects\Smoke.fx They're just text files. Use Notepad++

There is already a mod to remove chimney smoke, to at least address that part of the issue. Some people do it to gain a couple FPS.

I use smoke for easy wind direction/strength determination. I guess I like to watch outside for visual cues, a habit from the days I was still flying gliders
