Awww....so the circus has left town. Well there goes my idea to start an alter ego called Chinook_fan and cheer him on in his righteous quest to make us all resent him just a little bit more. But with our large contingent of wonderful dutch pilots we were due for a dutch douche...maybe even a double dutch douche

search for the AMASE system that's the one on the dutch helicopters.
Lol and as a ex armament spec I must say the a crew chief is taking care of my weapon platform.... Just kidding gents....

I think the USAF also has his internal competition between avionics guys , armament guys and ofcourse crew chiefs.

By the way the armament guys always won of the canopy cleaners.... ;-)

Yep, the AMASE is a nice system. Not sure why he thinks we (I?) "wouldn't have a clue" as to what's on RNLAF helo's... too many Dutch guys here for that. Besides, it's all over "teh internetz".

What's missing from the CH-47D CHASE implementation is all of the datalinked threats from other ISR and fighter platforms via SADL and Link-16. So while the Chinook has an advanced EW suite, it's not as advanced as the A-10C.

DCS does a very poor job of simulating anything to do with EW in the A-10. Even the basic implementation of the ALR-69 is wrong insofar as Handoff, Separation, Unknown, and Search are concerned. The audio is incorrect, including the "new guy" and missile activity alerts. Symbology isn't handled correctly with respect to priority threats, search radars, unknown/uncorrelated emitters, etc...

Of course, DCS doesn't even attempt to model the ALQ-213 or datalink threat displays on the TAD. Too bad really, because it can all be fudged pretty easily.

Edit: Referenced AMASE instead of CHASE.

The reason is why its not implemented is that the system is build in later, its not implemented in the ac system as a fabric build in system. Like for example the apache it has his own build in system ( APR39 I think) and the AMASE system is working next to it as a standalone system. it uses also his own displays because its not connected by bus to the display processor of the ac
