Changing default Radio keys in TARS

I've just acquired a Warthog HOTAS and am trying to complete the necessary configuration.

I am having an issue with TARS in that I cannot assign Radios 1-3 to the CMS on the HOTAS. If I select the 'Set' button next to the appropriate Radio and press the appropriate HOTAS button then TARS recognizes it, but it will not retain these settings if I close TARS and reopen it.

I've uninstalled TARS, including all related TARS files I can find in Saved Games, Teamspeak and DCS World and re-installed but no joy.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Run the tars control panel as admin. (Or even better disable windows use account control totally).

When you say CMS, I assume you mean comm switch?

If you still have it enabled, don't go change it, but run.

Bringing my TARS woes to this thread rather than creating a new one or highjacking the 1.2.7 thread.

Basically, it's not working. It was working perfectly for 3 months, now suddenly it doesn't activate when I jump into the pit. I've checked the TARS control panel and it's installed and configured correctly. I've disabled windows use account control. I've unchecked, rechecked and reloaded the plugin in teamspeak.

Teamspeak just says that it's not running when I'm in game. I'm running the 476th recommended versions of tramspeak and DCS and haven't updated anything. If I had any hair I'd be pulling it out by now! I think a reinstall is probably my only option now. Just can't understand why suddenly it doesn't work!

I get it from time to time.
Usually it's the export file under scripts in the savedgames folder. I just delete it... can't remember if you have to reinstall or just deactivate and activate TARS to make it come back fresh and ready.

Delete any trace of tars from your saved games\dcs folder after you've deactivated it from the control panel.

Really make sure you nuke any trace of it. Then reinstall.

If that doesn't work, do the same but uninstall TS as well.

And last resort all of the above and uninstall DCS as well. But that really is using a hammer to crack a nut.

Doesn't help find the issue, but it will cure it.

Thanks for the tips. I'll see if I can solve the problem when I get home from work tomorrow.

Tried removing and reinstalled both TS and TARS to no effect. Had to do a complete wipe and reinstall of DCS, I think its working atleast. I can hear my radio clicks when I key the mic so thats a good sign.
