Catch me on TS tonight. I'll have a look with you using teamviewer.

Will do. I'm just about on the verge of losing my sanity over this.

I can't understand how it can go from working one day to being completely broken the next.

Maybe it's the GeForce drivers afterall. That's the only thing I can think of changing since it worked. It just doesn't make sense.

Might have to check that I'm running the 64bit version of TS as well.

I hate to be "that guy" who asks if it's plugged in, but:

Could it be something simple, like the fact that TS will say "TARS not running" until you click on your TS username to refresh the data? Mine always says "not running" until I click on someone else, then click on myslef.

The last thing I can think of is although you may be on the root administrator account for Win 7, you may need to ensure you are running TARS in administrative mode to install as well as DCS and TS for normal ops.

I know Stagefright is having similar issues. His was working last night then just stopped working mid-flight.

Not needed on Windows 7 if you have disabled UAC.

So... it WAS the GeForce drivers! I still don't know how he managed it, but Stuka figured it out like an absolute boss.

Now the arduous task of reinstalling all the mods and setting up controls awaits me.

Be warned guys - if you have a GeForce graphics card DON'T update to the latest drivers until speaking to Stuka.

Interesting. Good find. I wonder Stagefright's issue is similar.

Turns out that the "Nvidia network service" is the culprit.
A quick search did not really gave me any explanation on what it is or does, but I assume it is related to the Nvidia streaming service.
The TARS log clearly showed connection errors, that pointed towards network problems.

Simply disabling the service in the windows services fixes the problem.

Only took all evening to figure out...
