    Another guy from Arizona!

Shik checking in from sunny AZ. I thought I would post brief hello/intro. I am from Tucson, AZ as well and have lived around A-10s pretty much my entire life (Home of the 355th Fighter Wing) and love that plane to death. By some cruel twist of fate, DCS: A-10 escaped my notice for quite some time but I have since rectified that and am enjoying the heck out of it. I have always found games like this to be exponentially more fun with a talented and professional group and that is what led me here.

I probably won't be super active on the forums or anything at this point but I will be closely monitoring the recruitment page and using the down time to train (gotta get the dang AAR down). I just wanted to say hello!

Glad to have you Shik. Keep checking in regularly. We just started a new group of trainees so the recruiting page may not open again for a while. That said, lurking is fine, and feel free to post, we won't bite. Once again, happy to have you on board.

another Zonie! awesome. Welcome. I've been flying a lot of the training missions, and getting pretty good with the weapons. Like you, I'm pretty new to DCSW. I've been flying BMS Falcon, and then came across DCSW. Love the A-10C, just like you.

Many years ago, I remember Javelina hunting 35 miles Northeast of Tucson, (the other side of Mt. Lemon), and got quite an air show watching A-10's performing some low level flying. was awesome.

That is one of my favorite things about living here. Every day I drive to work and get to see A-10s and F-16s zooming around.

Hey, guys. Quick Question for those that own TM Warthogs: what do you all use that lowest button on the stick for? The one below the pinky button with the lever to help depress it. I am curious what the most useful thing to bind it to would be.

I use it as a modifier, with which I map things like radio presets, altimeter setting, landing gear, and SAS emergency disconnect as shifted commands.

Good call. I didn't even consider using it as a shift key. I will probably go with that option. Thanks!

Another question: when I zoom my view in for looking around, scanning etc, my track or gets all sensitive and difficult to use. Is there a way to make it behave 'better' when zoomed in? I know that is horribly vague, but I don't know how to phrase it....

You mean that the Track IR is to sensitive at that point?
There is a precision mode on the TIR control panel, that you can toggle.
Not sure if that will fix your issue. I never use it myself.

Providing CAS when you're all out of HUA!
