You have to assume as a matter of course that porn will be on the bleeding edge of any advances in entertainment technology. Wasn't the porn industry key in settling that spat over whether to use Blu-ray or HDDVD?

Those are myths (the porn industry was also credited with being a key driver for the win of VHS over Betamax.)
The fact is, that in the case of VHS and Blu-Ray, they were "superior" formats. VHS had longer recording times (though IIRC Betamax was superior vid quality wise.) Bluray was all around superior, but HDDVD was cheaper to produce and first to market.
The porn industry has had little to do with any format winning.
If not, http://www.dvice.com/2014-1-10/testi...it-oculus-rift could offer hope for the future.

In doing some Christmas assembly work I've noticed that I'm starting to get middle aged eyes where I have a hard time focusing on small parts close up (a.k.a. Presbyopia). In that realization I was worried that I won't be able to use the Oculus Rift once it is released. However, I was very pleased to read the following thread...good to know that old simmers like me will still be able to enjoy this promising piece of technology.
