Well I've just spent most of the afternoon trying to get past the motion sickness and now have a pretty bad headache. Hope your experience is smoother than mine!

Think I'm gonna return it tbh. It doesn't work very well with my glasses and I found it pretty unusable with DCS. Very cool but just vomit/headache inducing and I couldn't really make out any text in the cockpit. The head tracking and actual sensation of flying is amazing though.

The sickness can be caused by low framerate. If you experience this kind of issues, try and lower the settings to achieve around 90fps stable in DCS and test it again. Luckily for me i don't experience issues even with low framerates. Also, in DCS, to get better clarity on cockpit text go in the VR options and move up the pixel density slider to at least 1.5 with 2 being max.

I was getting headaches in TrackIR so the Rift works out so much better for me. I don't mind the resolution so much and with the pixel density it helps out with the reading of text.

Thanks, I've tried the pixel density and tweaking the graphics settings but it didn't make much difference. I used to get car sick so maybe I'm just more susceptible to motion sickness than most. Also I'm short sighted and my glasses steam up if I'm wearing them in the rift. I'd probably have to get contacts to make the experience more comfortable. I just can't help but feel that VR isn't at the point that it needs to be for comfortable extended use, for me at least.

There are inserts you can buy for vr that has your prescription.

Also recommend the oculus tray tool for more tweaks.
