Safe Escape Maneuvers
I was working with Safe Escape Maneuvers over the weekend with the help of your youtube videos and I do not understand how they affect the delivery of the munitions though.
Does selecting between CLM, TLT or TRN change the calculated impact point of the ordnance while in the SIM as I assume it would in the real aircraft? or is it just modeled to follow the realism of the aircraft?
Or am I totally off the mark, and are the Safe Escape Maneuvers designed only to deconflict coming off a target as to allow for follow on attacks by other aircraft in the flight?

In short, the purpose of SEM is to ensure you do not get destroyed by your own weapons after impact. Switching between CLM, TLT, and TRN doesn't change your impact point, it changes your release parameters. So the HUD warnings, and release cues will change, based on the type of SEM (and other delivery settings) configured in the DSMS profile.

By the way, Eddie, who produced most (if not all) of those videos plans on re-doing them to clarify some of the concepts. Stay tuned!
