    Some pratice with the KA-50 ... First attempt ship landing (never done before)





    Visiting grandma at the nursery home

    Ship landings goes perfect regular landings I end up like this .. go figure

    And second attempt with lowering sun ship landings and oil platform

    Today Nu-NRG handed off MAG to me while waiting for the tanker. Nu-NRG had to RTB and I (Jacket1) was waiting for Shell 2 to take over from Shell 1, who decided to RTB just a moment earlier.

    In the end it took Shell 2 way too long to get on station and I needed to RTB due to Bingo fuel.
    MAG and I decided to head for Senaki to shoot a low-vis ILS.

    He flew like a champ, clinging onto my tail for the whole ride. We setup for the ILS above the cloud layer at 5000ft so we could remain visual on eachother. Extended West and turned in to intercept the ILS at approx. 20nm.
    We configured early to keep things smooth and steady and it all went by the book! Great job!
    Just over the threshold I received the first Master Caution; right Fuel low. Then when taxiing clear of the active the second one came on; left fuel low. Yes I know.. I landed with illegal fuel. Blame Shell!
