Man it's been ages since I've watched Iron Eagle.
Iron Eagle, Top Gun, Firebirds they all had their elements of awful but they make me wax nostalgic.
Now's everyone's chance to submit their favorite quotes from those movies...(It's OK to admit you've seen Firebirds, I've even watched it more than once...amazing what you'll stoop when there's only one game in town.)

While there isn't a strict protocol on signatures (i.e. you are free to do what you like), you'll notice that most veteran members have a similar pattern of name patch, and perhaps a few additional patches.
For those of you who wish to size the name patch, and have it displayed without the border/background as most of us do, there is a free image editor called "Gimp", and it runs on Windows and Mac. Once you have it installed, save your patch image from Stuka's original post, and open it in Gimp. On the menu bar, choose "Image", and select "Scale Image" from the drop down.
The size of most members' name patch is Height 150 pixels, Width 300 pixels. (you can click the little chain icon to decouple the Height changes from the Width changes if need be). That will resize your sig patch. Then select "Export As" from the File menu, and export it as either a jpg or png file.
Of course, you can make other edits if you like. Additionally, a good trick is downloading the signature of someone's that you like, and editing from there.

Hello, and thanks for selecting me for the 15-01 training class. Unfortunately I'm away on business all week this week, and may not be able to use TS. If possible, I'll try and make the Monday session. Again, apologies.

Unfortunately I have a family trip planned on Friday night 30 January and the US options are 0200am midnight for me.. If it is not a formal requirement I'd like to hop on TS this week during the evenings to get to know as many people as possible. If it is, I'll have to join either one of the US meetings but since my alarm clock goes off at 0630am I'd rather get some sleep during weekdays.
Let me know,
Thanks
