    Sound Mods Have No Effect

I've tried four different mods including zzz's and DCS World but none of them change a thing. No matter what, the default sounds carry through. I'm using JSGME for all mods.

P.S. Dojo, I left the session up if you want a go at it.

Apologies, quite a bit of activity in the house today. I'm sure we can carve out some time tomorrow if you're up for it.

The first thing to do is to confirm the target files are indeed being overwritten by the mod versions. e.g. flip the mod off, check the version of a sound file (modified date is good enough for this), flip the mod back on, and confirm it has changed. If it hasn't, it's possible your JSGME snapshot is bad, or other write related issues.

    We can confirm tomorrow.

I'm not sure what mods you are using El Roto...but are any of them trying to write to Mods/Aircrafts/xxx? If so it needs to be changed to Mods/Aircraft/xxx (singular). I know I had to make those changes to a few of our core mods.

It's a good thought, sMaat, one that should be generally checked. However, in this case, the sound mods are not applied to the Mods (modules) folder, where this issue exists.

This is not to confuse things with the still existant "AircraftS" folder within the sounds structure, that was not renamed.

I rested up and between naps (don't hate me ) reloaded DCS and renamed the original Saved Games folder so it wouldn't be overwritten.

After i finished, the sound mod worked. Switching the new saved games folder back to the original, the sound returned to default. Searching the original folder I found the default GAU8 sound files. Deleted them, mod returned.
