Brand Spank'n New
Good Afternoon All,
First Post.
Greetings! I'm obviously brand new to the 476vfg Forums and Community not to mention DCS.
I've been dabbling in the DCS for about six months now and have finally committed.
Little real world history about myself:
10 Yrs in the US Army as an OH-58D(R) Kiowa Warrior Crew Chief.
3 Yrs as a Technician for Republic Airways, specializing in flight controls and avionics.
2 Yrs as a Maintenance Supervisor for NetJets Maintenance
1 Yr (Current) as a Fleet Supervisor for NetJets Cessna Citation 560 Fleet Types (Encore/Encore Plus/XL/XLS)
I've been Flight simming since 1998 mostly with MSFS (every version since) and still do flights weekly. I find that it actually helps me relate to my real life job as I can fly same flights as ones at work and am able to understand (to a point) what the pilot may see. While Deployed to Iraq I began dabbling in F4 as my cousin who is a F-16 pilot, said that's what he would experiment with at home when testing new maneuvers. (kind of cool concept) Pretty sure I flew every Jane's product including USAF, ATF, F/A-18, and others I've forgotten.
I'm looking forward to meeting a bunch of you and flying with you as well. I fly with an X-55 and saitek pro rudder pedals. I'm pretty excited though as my Track IR5 just shipped from Amazon.
I'm very eager to get into training, get my hours in....burn up that JP8/JP4 and finally take up someone's wing.
Sincerely,
Wayne "Thug" Lemke

Welcome Wayne! We like Crew Chief's here
Our next open class will likely not be for some time as we just accepted a bunch of new recruits, but this is a very common situation you find yourself in, and actually a good opportunity. The general recommendation is to browse our forums, check out the documentation in the downloads area, learn as much as you can, and feel free to interact with us via the forums with questions and comments. We're an active bunch.
Janes Fighters Anthology The airbase assault mode was awesome.

Thanks Dojo!
I will definitely go through as many of the progressions as possible to assist with my transition in the next class. In the meantime I will definitely be reading up and thrown' down hours. I look forward to flying with you and many others!
