    Basic Weapon Delivery

    Gents,

I am hoping to get some feedback on what I sketched out as my understanding of weapons delivery. As someone who's understanding was "put the thing on the thing" up until a month ago, I want to make sure I understand the theory behind it before I go and try to fly it. No sense in learning bad habits off the bat. I put this together primarily from a few of Noodle and Eddie's posts over on ED, the 3-3.A-10, and some Weapons School papers. Please be brutal with your feedback. I know there is more too it. Steps 1&2 in particular, comms and wingman considerations, not to mention actually flying it. I hope to have the opportunity to apply this summer and really pick the IP's brains. But in the mean time, I can only fly so many pilot pro sorties before I have to make things go boom and I prefer to do it correctly. Thanks in advance.

PS - sorry about the handwritten stuff. I prefer drawing stuff out during the learning process.

I see no errors in your understanding of the mechanics, Tex.

Stuka, Eddie, and Snoopy have been doing a wonderul job creating the equivalent of a DCS 3-3.A-10 which will contain fundamental concepts that ED didn't bother to include in their manuals. Ultimately, this should lead to a DCS equivalent of a 3-1 type of manual that includes DCS-applicable TTPs.

    PM me your .mil?

    EDIT: 6.9 IAA...giggety!

It's a FOUO publication that is not available to the public.

    To clarify:

AFTTP 3-3.A-10 "Combat Aircraft Fundamentals" is an Air Force publication covering basic operational techniques of the aircraft and its systems. It is FOUO, and not available to the general public.

AFTTP 3-1.A-10 is an Air Force publication covering TTPs for the combat employment of the aircraft and its weapons. It is classified SECRET and is not available outside of "the vault".

Work is being done by the 476th command staff to create DCS-specific publications that contain similar types of content and follow generally the same format as the real manuals. It goes without saying that the information contained therein will be UNCLASSIFIED and applicable/appropriate only to DCS.

The 476th manuals are still being worked on, and are not yet available.

Thanks JayPee. Those seem pretty close to my chicken scratch but much more professional looking. I was unsure if the sim cockpit references matched the actual ones. So after 4 hours of screen shots and trigonometry to come up with my notes, they appear to be the same.

PM sent. Having done a few TTP rewrites, the effort y'all put in is amazing.
