Question regarding CDU Waypoint Steer Modes?

I've been pouring over the A10C flight manual and I was curious if anyone could tell me about Waypoint Steer Modes? Specifically the difference between TO FROM, DIRECT, and TO TO? I keep reading the manual over and over but I can't seem to grasp the concept. Thanks!

    Is related to VOR navigation.

Not an expert myself, so maybe one of our RL pilots can explain some more on te how, when, why,..
    Here's some simple explanation: http://www.anaspides.net/documents/f...20tutorial.pdf

And basically every google search on VOR navigation throws you to dead with info.

Providing CAS when you're all out of HUA!

DIRECT - draws the line between your current position and the selected steerpoint. CDU will display magnetic course which must be set via HSI CRS knob to get proper CDI indications. After that CDI on HSI will show if you are on course
TO TO - very similar to DIRECT. The difference is: instead of using current position you must specify a waypoint to navigate from(via CDU FROM page). After that CDI on HSI will show if you are on course
TO FROM - this mode is exactly like VOR naviagation. You set HSI CRS knob to whatever radial needed and CDU will again show if you are on course or not (this one is the default one, that is why you do not need to enable TACAN when landing on the airfield and still have your CDI working)
    There is one more:
SCS - this one is like TO FROM but reversed.

To be honest - there is more to it than that e.g. It is important where you set those attributes in the CDU, 3D navigation and other stuff which rather lengthy to write about.

As all this is implemented in DCS, my idea was to make some kind of presentation about this stuff, but for that I need some time. In the mean time we can plan a training mission so that I can show you how it works in practice - that way you will grasp it much much faster.
Let me know if you would be interested.

It is somewhere there in the manual, but definitely very very unclear. I got my info from ED forums, and recently after having a mission and talk with Snoopy to test this stuff.

Ah OK, thanks. For a moment I really thought I overlooked a major document of some sort.
