Final flight - when a pilot has his last flight in the aircraft before retiring. Usually celebrated by everyone at the squadron and the retiring pilot's family. For squadron commanders and above (or anyone else deemed "special"), they will typically bring out the fire trucks and hose down the aircraft. Upon exiting the cockpit, the family and squadron members will wet down the pilot with either water and/or champagne. If you are lucky, you only get water.Originally Posted by Hansolo
