    Bore Sight Techniques

Does anyone use the depressable bore sight on the HUD? From what I was told a while back, it was carried over and used more often on the A-10A.

Each click is a Mil, correct?
Total Mils it can measure in the HUD?
Can someone explain the different types of uses and techniques one could use with this HUD tool.

    Thanks in advance

The Depression (DEPR) rocker switch enables the depressible pipper on the HUD to be manually depressed over a range of +10 to -300 mils referenced to Zero Sight Line (ZSL). Momentary depressions of the rocker switch move the applicable pipper up or down one milliradian.

Some uses are Mav SEEKER Boresight placement. (ie. you can adjust where the Mav will Boresight)
Place the Depressible Pipper over the locked target and press TMS Forward Short. When you do so, the SEEKER BORESIGHT message will switch to reverse video. DCS A10C FM Pg. 353-354, 571-572 for reference

Gunny can you/anybody check the relation with the MAV seeker? I'm not sure you are correct.. Adjusting the MAV has nothing to do with the DEPR pipper AFAIK.
