    All,

Please note, there is currently a minor bug in Tacview 1.5.3. Essentially, it may occasionally incorrectly show the name of a pilot in a Tacview recording.

For example, Oliver joins a server, and then I join after. Anyone who is connected to the server at that time, and therefore having their own Tacview file produced on the server, will see me as "Oliver" in all of their Tacview files. The issue doesn't happen all the time.

The server will still put the Tacview file in my folder if I flew, and the recording will be otherwise accurate. The only issue is that the name will be wrong.

Vyrtuoz is aware of the issue, and we're working with him to get it resolved.

Anyone who experiences this issue on the 476th DS, please report it so that we can capture the DCS log file. Thanks!

While we're at it, is it just me or with this server-side recording we lose IAS indications for all aircrafts? It used to be that only the recording client had it.

It's not just you. What's happening is what has always happened: Only your local DCS will export your "cockpit" data. So even prior to the server side option, if you and I flew together, and I recorded the tacview on my desktop, I will only get "cockpit" data, like IAS, for myself, not for you. Hence the server has no cockpit data for anyone. That's a DCS network export limitation, not a Tacview implementation difference.

Examples of Cockpit data you don't get on a "remote" Tacview:

    1. IAS (vs CAS/TAS)
    2. Landing gear state
    3. Flaps State
    4. air brakes state
    5. Magnetic variation

There's actually a lot more being added to cockpit data in the future. But, all things considered, while nice to haves, they're minor losses considering the current performance pros, in my opinion.

My A-10C was flying @ 400 IAS in the climb out during DREAM4, pretty impressive!

Yeah, it happens quite a lot. At least with the new Tacview you can change the name of an object.
