There is not really a designated holding area for the range.
We made one up for an internal event, just in case of.
A bit of planning will prevent the need for holding at all.

Nixon could be confusing is elemens of the flight are still holding there, right? Could I use SARAH as another holding point to regroup?
Lately I´m using Gass Peak recovery, passing through the Ranch and then landing 03R turning just after crossing Las Vegas BLVD, unless I´m mistaken.
Thanks for the input.
Unless the surface winds absolutely dictate it, the preferred recovery runways are 21R and 21L.
So your recovery to Nellis should be via STRYK / GASS PEAK / APEX / PHINN / NELLIS if you exit the range via NIXON or else
GASS PEAK / APEX / PHINN / NELLIS if you exit the range via SARAH.

Holding at Nixon puts you the entire time in/out the range airspace. Depending on to what level you simulate, that is maybe not wanted.
If you're with a flight at the range, just stay all in the conventional range pattern, until every member is done. No need to do pre/post holding, you're all in/out together.

I set the wind for using 03R. Unless I´m mistaken, with this config and live Mk82 weapons, we should use 03R because it´s farther from the ramp, with safety in mind.
For recovery I like GASS PEAK / CRAIG RANCH because of the multiple visual references, nothign else, and matches the wind. But it makes whole sense recovering to 21L. Noise abatment might be a factor too.
I´m a noob regarding NTTR and appreciated all you guys´inputs. I mean no disrespect.
No idea what the conventional range pattern is. Would be accurate holding up north, for example over Dog Bone Lake? That would be again a different range airspace?
Let me add my mission idea is for "emulate" something like Gunsmoke bombing runs, so each pilot will drop 4 bombs, just one per pass.
Da FAC?
Well yeah. It's your environment. You hold where you want. Just telling how we handle it.

Was using the mission today and trying to hit some moving targets at 62-08 (Fast Track). I could only ever get the T-72 tank to move. The other vehicles (4x4 and Truck) would never move when activated via the F10 menu. Any suggestions?
Da FAC?
Just tested.
Looks like I fucked that one up in the last public release. Will be fixed in the next version.

Mission is looking good, I chose to create a holding pattern south of Creech AFB and west of Nixon.
Now messing with Moose RAT to balance performance.
