Checking about recruitment

I've been flying DCS for a few years now and I'm looking to join a squad.

Are you guys operating on GMT timezone at all?

Yes, the 81st is the Euro time zone sqn and people are regularly flying between 1900Z and 2200Z.

Awesome, any chance to move up the recruitment?
Would really love to join people who fly in GMT time zone in DCS.

I know all about mission editing so I can contribute there!

Afraid not no, until DCS 2.0 is more stable we won't be opening things up again. There's also no point taking in new members over the christmas and new year period.

Oh right, totally forgot about Christmas and new year, for me Hanuka is over in a few days.

Or you could just check in regularly to see if recruitment is about to open and to see if there's stuff posted on the public forums to study

That's what I've been doing, watching to see when the recruitment opens again. Plus this forum is an amazing source of information. You can watch some really good vids on YouTube from the 476th members like Recon and Kimi. I have found that their videos, especially Recon's, have been extremely helpful in learning to fly correctly. Plus there is a Podcast you can listen to done by Dojo that's really well done. I have been listening while I get my jet ready for launch the last couple of days. Nothing like cleaning and inspecting a jet while you got earbuds stuck in your ears. Don't tell QA!

Oh yeah, I am checking on a regular basis, just thought there might be some slots open early before opening recruitment that I can join.

Can I join to fly with you guys in the meantime?
If not in the official events, then in any free nights to get the taste and spirit of the squad?
