Those explosion effects are purely Hollywood bullshit. Take for instance the tank being strafed, it's like firecrackers followed by a fireball like a fuel air bomb would generate.
Nevertheless, fun to watch though

There's only one shot of actual weapon effects, and it's the two sticks of MK-82AIRs shown immediately after all the Hollywood gasoline explosions.
Real terminal effects are quite impressive, with bits and pieces flying everywhere. Another wish list item for our simulated Combat world..
