    EO Mavericks

Two days ago I took 4A65 to the 74-21 range in order to practice AGM-65D/H ripple releases. The same thing happened that happened the evening before; I can barely get a lock with the H model on the targets. At that time it was difficult to visually acquire the targets in the first place (morning sun, targets didn't offer much contrast to the BG, etc.) and the H model sure wasn't helping either. At around 4.5NM I could distinguish targets on the MFCD and at 2.9NM did the missile lock after I forced it via TMS short up.

Is it crappy DCS modeling or is it my crappy skills? Not sure, but currently I feel like only taking IR seekers with me..

It's crappy DCS modelling. Although to be fair in some circumstances you wouldn't get a track with a D/G until similar ranges, and we regularly get a track with D/G further away than is realistic.

    Alright.

Then I'll give it some more attempts but I'm sure I'll be carrying 2x D if allowed.

    Sure is allowed.
In combat I hardly take H's (or K's), for the reasons you described above.

Providing CAS when you're all out of HUA!
