Little trick for that nasty slap in face when AAR

So, as I'm sure all of you know, there's a slight bug when doing AAR. When you're topped off, the boom has a tendency to force itself through your nose and either cause you to red out or black out while doing a little damage to your nose. One thing that I've been doing to combat this is towards the end of the refuel, let the boom extend a little into the top yellow or even orange. I know it doesn't look as clean, but it's a lot better than possibly taking yourself out of the fight, taking the tanker out or even taking out the entire flight.

I didn't have that problem with the last DCS update, but it could have been the result of what you have just described. I don't recall the actual position of the boom the last time it disconnected, but I'll keep an eye for next time.

Tab you described what I've experienced exactly. I suggested that very thing, towards the end of your tank, try to ensure your at the Green or Extended portion of the boom near the end of your tanking procedure. It does seem to "spring load" the boom if your in tight at the end.

    Good tip
