Adriatic Strike 2016

Next week, we are hosting a multinational NATO Exercise Adriatic Strike 2016. Today was the main arrivals day and I managed to take some snapshots.

I met some ATC from Armee de l'Air and Royal Air Force, but the highlight was meeting General Major Nielsen, Commander of Royal Danish Air Force.

Funny facts:

Mi-17 pilot requested low pass runway 09, but when crossing runway threshold turned towards tower and made unauthorized crossing of the whole airfield and buzzed the tower.

When Slovaks parked their Albatroses, some 30minutes after all the personnel was gone from the ramp, one of the aircraft with the special tail markings started to slide backwards. Someone forgot to put some wheel chocks

The highlight for me was a live presentation of a JTAC controlled strike, performed by two pairs of PC-9Ms.
The whole conversation between the pilots and JTAC was transmited through PA system, from check-in and 9-line to the attack itself and the first pair did a really great low level wedge bomb attack, while the other pair simulated high angle straffing attack,

Maybe Energy can add a photo or two as well.
