Well my application just got resubmitted so guessing I will maybe hear something on the next go around. Got lots of time now though so shouldn't be an issue. Hopefully will get a seat
The 476th has opened recruiting for US timezone pilots. All interested pilots in the US timezones (UTC -3 to UTC -9 generally) should review the our recruiting page here.
The following is an overview of our recruitment process. If you have questions, please feel free to ask. We will post any updates to this recruiting period here.
- Step 1 - Submit an application. We will review them as they come in. Once our quota of applications is reached, it will automatically be closed. Historically the application window is usually open for about a week.
- Step 2 - Once we have reviewed all the applications, those that make it to the next step will get a private message (PM) with a temporary password to the 476th Teamspeak server which will be good for 2 weeks.
- Step 3 - Please join us in Teamspeak during this first week to get to know the pilots of the 476th and for us to get to know you. Ask questions, tell jokes, etc. As a part of this intro week, we will also host a couple flight nights where recruits and 476th pilots can fly together around NTTR and continue to get to know each other.
- Step 4 - During the second week, recruits will go through an interview and observation flight. The interview is simply a chance to make sure we are a good fit for you and vice versa. Its also a great time to ask questions. Assuming the interview goes well (they generally always do at this point), we will schedule a quick flight were can can verify recruits can fly an ILS approach and refuel off a tanker.
- Step 5 - After the two week period of intro and interviews/flights, those pilots accepted will get another PM from the 476th.
- **Unfortunately, not everyone who applies will be accepted. While we would love to accept everyone, we simply don't have the training capacity to do so. Our training process takes a lot of time and effort by our current pilots and we are limited on how many folks we can accept at one time.

A quick update on current recruiting...
We've got a handful of applications on the North American time zone side and are planning on taking applications through at least this weekend. For those that have submitted one already, thank you. We are in the process of reviewing them and you'll hear back from us sometime in the next week. In the meantime, if you haven't already, introduce yourself on the forums and take a look around especially in our public download sections.
We've also had a couple Euro applications submitted. While weren't recruiting for that time zone this go around, we are considering a few options so it may be a couple weeks but we'll get back to you as well.

Quick update, we have gone through the applications and sent out messages to all the US applicants. Euro applicants, we still haven't decided yet on whether we will add to our existing Euro class right now so please continue to be patient with us. Those that got a PM should see a temporary password. Please use that to log into our group's Teamspeak over the next week or so to get to know us, hang out, crack wise. We hope to set up a one or two casual flights over the next week as well.

It's been good to see a couple folks have had a chance to join us in Teamspeak. For those that haven't yet, please don't be shy, getting to know us is an important part of the process. To help with that, we'll be hosting a group flight next Wednesday, 19 Jul with both recruits and 476th pilots. The event will run from 2100-0000 Eastern, 1800-2100 Pacific time. It's an open event so folks are welcome to join late and do not have to stay for the entire time. Hope to see all y'all there!

Thanks to all who came out last night for the open flight. Was good to get to know folks and have some fun at the same time.

We have accepted the latest round of recruits. For those that submitted an application and did not get accepted for one reason or another, you are always welcome to reapply. Many of our members took 2 or more shots before they got in. In the past, we have only opened up recruiting for short windows. We are going to try an new process where we leave the application window open and review applications on a monthly basis. As long as we have training capacity, we will accept pilots more frequently.
Please see our recruiting page for additional information.
