Having the saved games on a separate drive to the core files is not an issue, that's how I run it.

Just as a point of sanity, what's the failure mode being seen? Once you have 'installed' the mod, can you see the units in the mission editor? Can the NTTR mission be opened (I see it says the mod is required but that will be shown all the time, even if its installed).

Do you have two installs of DCS? Maybe an Open beta and a Stable and the mod is installed in the wrong one?

Part of my problem is that I've never seen the mod 'in there wild' as far as I know. I saw screenshots from one of the older version installs and I don't see anything like it when I open the mission--either to play or in the Mission Editor. If I play the mission, I fly around and see nothing at all in terms of targets. If I open it in the Mission Editor, then I see several SAMs but they're all labeled as invisible, nothing more. I would have attached below a screenshot of the map in the Mission Editor but it seems I have exceeded my allowable allotment. Maybe I can attach one tomorrow (?), as I suppose there is a possibility that I'm such a noob as to not recognize something right in front of my nose ...

Additionally, the Helicopter Weapons Range 2 scenario uses the 476 range targets but nothing shows up either in the Mission Editor or when I fly.

As for where its installed, my earlier screenshots show it installed in DCS open beta and since I am trying to use it for the AH-64D (which can only run in DCS open beta) all is good on that point.

Anything else you can think of to check?

I think if it's letting you into the mission then the mod has installed 'correctly'. But it sounds like there might be something missing from the mod causing it to fail.

Maybe try deleting all current file for the mod and re downloading it from this site to see if a new copy will help?

To be absolutely sure that you have the mod installed correctly, very the DCS main screen, and you should see the mod's icon:


You also can check in the module manager if it's there and enabled:


When looking for the units in the editor, make sure the "historical filter" (or whatever it's called) is not on (so not highlighted)


You should see the list off all units under the fortification class (and in static objects)

I do see the icon on the bottom of the Home Screen and next I'll be sure to check the 'historical' icon or whatever it is.
