My first little po... eh, pedals

    Well,

Just unpacked and installed the Graphite Gray MFG Crosswinds. My first pedal set ever. Before the HOTAS WH I used the stick twist, and since the WH I don't use pedals at all.

They feel very nice, so far really happy. Only downside is, I can't fly for shit with pedals so I'll see you guys in 4 weeks when it's safe again to hop on the DS!

I currently have the foot plates/rests canted outwards because that feels most convenient when sitting in an upright position (desk chair). As you can see this can be adjusted. Also the default position of the plates can be adjusted to a more straight up position or more towards a horizontal position, depending on how you set up your pit.

Don't worry Ed, you have all the time in the world. They won't rust as it's mainly composite and the metal used seems to have a stainless steel coating.

When or if he ever puts out a modern pedal will you be able to put on the different pedal type or are you going to have to repurchase? Ive been looking at pedals and these look great

I recall a blog where he once said he *might* release different footrests separately in the future. That would mean it's a matter of unscrewing the current ones and attaching the new ones. And if you're skillful you can always create your own footrests. The only thing you have to take into account is the diameter of the screws and their position. The software allows you to easily re-calibrate the brake axes depending on the neutral position of the footrests.

Got mine set up this morning, very impressed, considerably more precise and smooth than the Saiteks I've had for the past 8 years.

I've gone for CAM 6, I find it's much smoother and more comfortable, especially at higher rudder deflection.
