Welcome Frozen! I'm one of those pilots finishing up training. This place is awesome and the people are friendly. If you have any questions just ask. Tons of knowledge in this place.

Thanks Dooley, I will definitely be hanging around but I have a showstopper I am dealing with right now. Seems I have all the STEAM content and they don't have the Nevada map or DCS 2.0. Trust me when I say I am really upset especially since I purchased 6 modules from STEAM at the beginning of the month. So disgusted I didn't know about this before I made those purchases.

Oh man that's not fun. I'm sorry to hear that.

Not sure which modules you purchased but the A-10 is definitely pre-M2000

Thanks Tex, I will give it a shot. I didn't realize so many different versions of the sim. Really need to get it squared away before you guys open up US recruiting again. Thanks again to all who chimed in, your concern is truly appreciated.
Oh No... you guys opened up US recruiting and I just sold my house. I'll be really busy for the next 30 days making my transition. How often does recruiting open up? (United States)
Hard to say what it will be going forward but usually 2-3 times per year. Depends on how little long it takes to get folks through training. You're welcome to put in an application and we can see if things work out timeline wise. It may not work out this go around but if you don't apply, it certainly won't.

I definitely have the desire to apply but I am not going to waste y'alls time. This is a very professional virtual flight Squadron. I want to dive into training (if accepted) without distractions. The A-10C has a lot more systems than the UH-60 and weapons so it will require a lot of study for me to get proficient. Once I get settled in my new home I will be looking for another recruiting thread from you guys like a hawk. Good luck to all the guys you accept this round. I hope they take it seriously. I remember starting my flight training in the Army and could not believe the amount of information I had to retain in such little time. Anyway, I will hang around the site and read the available study materials but will have to pass on applying until the next flight class.

Sorry to hear that but hopefully you can join soon. I went through the same thing the first time I applied.
