    TrackIR jumps back when paused

For about a year now I'm having an issue with TrackIR in DCS. It seems other games and the TIR GUI aren't affected so for now I'm blaming DCS.

When I turn pretty far off-center (e.g. looking at the aft radio panel in the A-10) and then pause TIR, the screen flips/turns back a bit in the direction of the center position.

Anybody else experience this and more importantly, found a fix?

If my problem description is not making sense I'll record and post it.

First time I've heard of it. Do you run any view modifier mods? (Realistic neck mod for example) I wonder if there is anything interfering with the view after TIR controls it.

Negative, no other view modding stuff going on here.

I've come up with some numbers. Pitching down 90 degrees and then pausing TIR works fine. Pitching the view down about 145 degrees (effectively looking backward into the back of the seat) and then pausing causes the DCS view to remain in position for about a second after which it jumps back to about 120 degrees pitched down.

Let me stress that I never released the pause button, which is indicated by orange leds on the camera unit, and that in the TIR GUI the position doesn't change, only in DCS. The latter leaves me to conclude it's DCS, not TIR itself. This is also confirmed by the fact that DCS is the only game that does this.

I guess I'd start with clearing my snapview settings by deleting the relevant file, then trying it like so, before reconfiguring your snapview. Bit of a pain but it's the only thing I can think of.

You could try renaming the keyboard.diff file to see if that has any effect.

Tried with a clean snapview file, still the same...

Something that may help troubleshoot, take your files for DCS in the saved games folder and rename the parent e.g. XX-DCS.openalpha. Start DCS and let it recreate everything. See if the problem continues.

Sorry, I was hoping that was something missed and it could pinpoint the issue.

Oliver - I have exactly the same issue but have never taken the time to try to troubleshoot it. It happens for me at extreme pitch or yaw and is always a jump back towards the centre point about 0.5 seconds after the pause.
