    DCS F18c and the 476th

    Hey brothers, Mower here.

Been waiting on the ED Hornet for years. When it comes it will become my main sim mount as I finally drop BMS.

Still flying my Hawg at Nellis though for now on ocassion.

Question: will the 476th be adopting this superb multirole platform?

I will be looking to join a high quality online group when that day comes and the 476th is the premiere group I would submit an application to.

    Cheers.

I don't see why we wouldn't once it gets to a point of completion/mostly complete. But it'll be up to command staff and the willing pilots to get a squadron up and running.

    Hey Mower, welcome!

Barring some major hiccup with DCS: F/A-18, we are planning on standing up a Hornet squadron. However, we have pretty robust guidelines and expectations for all of our squadrons so depending on how the release goes, there may be a period of time between module release and when we actively recruit for a new squadron. Rest assured, some of our pilots are actively working on development of air-to-air and multi-role fighter TTPs using the Mirage and our aggressor squadron has been using the F-5 for awhile now. Both of which will certainly pay dividends when the F/A-18 comes out and hopefully allows us to lead turn the release. Like the rest of the community, we eagerly await that day. Once the DCS: F/A-18 module is up to standards and we've got the necessary procedures, documents, and a training program developed, the 476th will certainly be burning up our share of digital JP-5.

    Hi Boomer,

Wow, I had the same question about the F/A-18 how the 476th would adapt this bird to their ranks.
Sure, as an A-10C rookie I have still a lot to learn, but with my other eye, I'm watching the DCS F/A-18 developments...

I am! I'm not into modern air combat, but the Hornet for some reason, compelled me to pre-order day one. Must be those Canadian liveries. I don't have the PG map yet, because I want the Bodenplatte Spitfire first, and nothing but a Hurricane trumps a Spitfire.

Almost got the spitfire but would prefer a Corsair...if whistling death ever comes I would grab it.
