    Weapons Range Objects question/bug

I upgraded to the new 17 FEB 17 version of the Weapons Range objects mod today to fix the problem with the objects appearing on top of everything. It seems to have fixed it, but I have 2 questions/problems.

    1) My older missions built on previous versions of this mod get this error: "Need modules for load mission: 476 vFG Range Targets by Noodle". But I 'do' see the mod's objects in the mission editor and they work fine. So, is this version of the mod incompatible with previous versions? How do I fix my older missions?

    2) The Container B circle still appears on top of other objects:

With their latest update ED changed a couple of things. Mods that load a module in DCS now have to be placed in your Saved Games folder, not in your DCS root.

I also found that out yesterday and have this mod in my SavedGames folder now. But I still have this problem with this B Circle object showing through..

Are you having this issue in our public version of the NTTR .miz or did you set up your own range using our Range Objects?

I set up my own mission and just added them.

Also, when I try to load one of my older mission that was built using the previous version of this mod, it gets the error: "Need modules for load mission: 476 vFG Range Targets by Noodle". Do you know anything about that? Is this new version of the mod backward compatible? I noticed that the file structure is different in the new version. It is missing may objects from the older version.

You'll get that error if you apply the Range Objects to the DCS root folder (the old style of doing things), as of the latest update you'll have to apply them to the Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\ folder.

Yes, I do not use mods in my root folder. I also checked my .\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\tech folder to make sure there was no 476 Range Objects in there. I do have the mod in my Save Games\DCS.openalpha\mods\tech folder. That is all correct.

I tried an older version of my mission and it worked fine. So, there must be some object in the other folder that I used, that DCS cannot find in the new mod? I don't know.

But still the Conventional Circle B shows through the cockpit. But I guess I just won't use that.

    Thanks for your help.

Can you try to save the mission again in the editor?
If that doesn't help, upload it here, and I'll have a look.

The mission cannot be loaded in the editor because it gives the same error. Luckily a previous backup of that mission works. Thanks.

Hey fellas, hope all are well!

Having the same problem as the OP with my version of the pub mission. Persistent "Needs module..." error. Any solution? Here's my last edit: LINK

    Thanks in advance
