    Trouble on the tanker???

Today whilst tanking (Shell/Mercury) I had a bit of trouble. The tanker was in a left hand turn at the end of the racetrack, I'd been connected for a good period (approx 30 seconds/good for me) and things were stable. Suddenly I got the attention getters and warning tone. In my mind I was nowhere near hitting the tanker or the boom. I stayed connected whilst I understood what was going on and the manually disconnected and cleared from the tanker. The outcome was EAC,GCAS and LASTE on the warning panel, something like AV BUS 2 NOT READY (don't quote me on that) displayed in a yellow box on the displays and a complete loss of the HUD (optic display). So thanks to Icarus (god bless him) I made a head down and very twitchy route back to base (Track IR was brilliant for head down, not sure what I'd have done without it). So was it the tanker and it's twitchy troubles? Or could it have been a random failure? Does our server enable random failures?(I have random failures selected in the DCS options menu). If so, could I have lost the DC ARM BUS?(all fails we're on he same BUS).
As always with me..... Any Ideas?????

You could have, the server doesn't have it on but with you having it on the client side that could have caused it (I believe).

Did you have and MFCDs go down? I keep meaning to turn my random failures off because I get a CICU failure about every 10 flights or so and it is quite annoying, is that a frequent problem in the real aircraft? I know in our aircraft we always had annoying failures that we would just reset by a circuit breaker reset, does the A-10 have re-occuring nuisance messages or failures that just require a CB reset? I would think CB resets would be a nice feature for something like a CICU failure.

Random failures are forced on on this map.
That's what you were experiencing: a random failure.

Baxter, no both MFCD's were still powered and displaying. I like having the random failures set to 'on' as I think it's makes the sim more realistic, one minute your worrying about tanking, the next it's all turned on its head! As you said, I just hope there not to often, STUKA do you know how often your Likely to have a failure or is that random also. CB' s in the cockpit are a bad idea in my eyes, as you said there good for a reset, but that's all. If they trip for a real reason it can be catastrophic if reset!!

No idea on how often it can happen, it's completly random.
I didn't have one in months. Unless you call a hit by a manpad a random failure
