Very doubtful, 99.9999999999999999999% it is the windows update. It's a 'known' issue, with a no fix in sight. You can roll back to previous build by following along with this tutorial. https://www.howtogeek.com/235474/how...on-windows-10/

Ski, I had the same problem with my headset after win update, but unplugging/plugging in seems to fix it.

Update and recurring issue...by way of uninstalling the Realtek drivers and plugging the headset back in I was able to get sound through my headset and the microphone works. Now, a recurring issue is when I go to say YouTube, to listen to music, the volume slider does not allow me to move the volume up and if I do it slides back down on its own. The same issue applies to my system. I move the volume all the way to the top and it moves itself back to zero. Both issues recurring since damn update. Any suggestions?

If I didn't have a kid in year-round volleyball I would! I'll be damned if I didn't drop my mouse on the ground, change the batteries, and all is right with the computer world again! I hate computers and how simple things are a pain in the ass to figure out.
