Well we got a class in right now and usually once they get through IQT we open it back up again. So I’d say soon ish. Just keep an eye on our recruiting page and usually we post on the ED forums as well.

Hey Brainz, nice resume you've got there. As said, we've got a number of documents available to the public that form the basics of how we operate, in particular the 476TTP 3-3.A-10C. Get familiar with what's in our documents and start practicing whenever you feel like.
Also, as for applying when the window opens up again, we've got a number of requirements listed on our homepage that we will assess newcomers on as part of their application process so be sure you've got those things down. It's not to scare people off but rather to make sure people would like to put in as much effort as we do since those are all things one can perfectly master by flying Single Player only.
Looking forward to seeing your application once we open up again.

Thanks Oliver, I've downloaded most documents and I'm studying the 76TTP 3-3.A-10C doc right now. Taking the afternoon today to refresh some procedures and fly a number of training sorties. I'll make sure not to waste your time when the application window opens up =)
Single player systems knowledge is up to speed again, IFFCC settings, creating/editing flightplans with default/custom waypoints/OFST, LASTE wind entry, countermeasures programming, AAR day/night and IFR procedures. I'm up for it =)
And in the meanwhile a bit of F-18 BFM fun
Some nice flying Brainz!

Was a bit fast in the final attack run =)

No, I didn't increase the gamma for night flying =) I recorded the original clip with nvidia shadowplay (it was black) and I trimmed it with Windows video editor (it added the gamma). Damn you Bill Gates!

I did a quick deep dusk -> night flight last night just to see if the floods are really working (they are) and it struck me that while I couldn't find a moon in the sky, the terrain was almost a little bit visible. Not quite as good as it was where you felt like your night vision was actually "adjusting" but it was, for lack of a better word, better.
Of course the strobes still induce epilepsy and the formation lights still illuminate the cockpit when you turn them up, but hey, it's damn near progress...
