    Mission Vs Mapping

Can the mission you're in affect your control mappings?

Between DS1 and our NTTR offline, I hadn't been on Caucuses in months but I wanted to set some targets near sea level to test some GBU-12 drop times and I was surprised to find that I had a LOT of controls double mapped across my Joystick and my Throttle (TMW.)

I also discovered maybe eight or nine controls that had to be totally re-mapped. It was so weird that my HOTAS Slew was actually controlling pitch and bank. Kind of an eye-opener to do a barrel roll while you're just trying to slew the TGP! (This never occurred in Nevada or PG)

Thanks for any thoughts on this...

No, the mappings are not mission depending.
Did you use another instance of DCS maybe ?

Providing CAS when you're all out of HUA!

I wondered if maybe I had used my copy of Stable but no, I was still using Open Beta. It's the only version for which I have a desktop icon. For Stable, I have to find it in START.

Just another ED Head Scratcher I guess...
