    TrackIR Issue

I started to work on building control profiles for the Hornet the other night and in my haste to clear columns to start fresh, I inadvertently nuked the TrackIR column.

I tried using the Axis Assignments but could only get it to recognize side to side motion. I could not get it to recognize nodding, rolling of the head nor the Z axis. How do I restore or reset the required axis’s in such a way as to have it all recognize / match my preferred TrackIR profile? Is there a way to copy anything from my A-10C config folders?

Is there a way to just restore everything to the default columns where I can start over being careful to only clear joystick and throttle columns?

How are you trying to assign the axes? There should be a dropdown somewhere, instead of trying to move the TIR and have it recognised.

You should be able to save the A-10C TIR column, and reload it on the F-18C. If all fails, hit the default button in the lower portion of the screen after backing up every other column.

I was trying to assign the respective axis’s by double clicking the one I wanted to set and then moving my head. As I said, it picked up on looking side to side but no others. I’ll look for those drop downs though.

    Thanks for the other ideas.

    Definitely go with the dropdowns.

Thanks again for your help Gliptal...

I got my TrackIR back to normal and was able to map the basics (so far) so at least from a Hot Start I can get off the ground and get back to Nellis again.

Now I just have to learn how to properly start the jet.
