Did the new NVIDIA drivers decrease your performance in DCS?

I am trying to get a flight in today, but for some reason A-10C is giving me choppy framerates all of a sudden.
I did upgrade my NVIDIA drivers yesterday to the newest version available, ironically enough claiming they increased performance for many games...

Do you guys experience reduced performance too with the new drivers?
Or is it something else on my end?

Well here's the thing after some further research:

301.42 Bug List (from: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=229953) with important issues bolded:

VSYNC causes drop in FPS every 30 seconds on GTX 600 series cards - We’ve root caused the issue to a driver bug and identified a fix for it. The fix requires extensive testing though and will not be available until our next major driver release in June (post-R300). For users experiencing this issue, the interim workaround is to disable vsync via the NVIDIA Control Panel or in-game graphics settings menu.

Full Geforce 600M notebook Verde driver support is targeted for our next major driver release

3D clock speeds drop when playing games with certain factory overclocked graphics cards - Unable to reproduce at this time. We are continuing to investigate this issue and hope to provide a fix as soon as our QA team repdoces this issue in our labs.

You guys might become stuck in the first issue if you upgrade, my problem was the second I suspect.
I have rolled back to the previous release and all is back to normal again. So take this as a warning.

Thanks for the heads up, I was just looking at the updated drivers this morning, and will hold off now. Since I am not going to be able to upgrade my vid card for a while, I don't need to create even more issues!

I'll upgrade from 296.10 to 301.42 and see what happens on my sys. (1-GTX 570, 1-GTX 265, both powering three monitors )

Appears to be a nice performance increase for me. Will know more when I run a certain mission that is taxing on the system.

I'm off to court to dispute a speeding ticket.
