Hello everybody, and thanks for the support!

    Hi everyone!

I am raus, spaniard living in Germany. I am into flight sims since... well, it looks like I am becoming old, when I count that in decades, and the total is more than two, right?

I usually fly with the spanish Grupo de Vuelo 5Js (GV5Js)

I just wanted to check in, but also to give a big thanks to the staff, for allowing me to use some of your documentation into an app I work on: GV5Js Datacard Generator on ED Forums. Just for the record, this app is and will be, completely free. I just started it as an experiment to see if I could export a couple things from the .miz file, and have grown into a mission planner we are constantly using in the GV5Js. I am building it with a lot of help of the community, and for the community, so any suggestion is welcome I just hope some of you might find it useful, as well.

    Best regards

Hi there Raus, welcome to the forums. That app sounds like it'll be really neat.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and encouragement. If you downloaded the app from the original link, you should be getting a good overhaul available today:

    v1.3.0 Changelog:
    • Fixed a bug in the UHF/VHF frequency selector for airfields
    • Manual selection of PUSH - EGRESS waypoints to calculate VUL Time / TOT
    • For self (selected) flight, in the Mission datacard, use right mouse button click on WP Name and "Select WP type"
    • For other flights, use the "Edit WPs flight#" button on the coordination card and use right mouse click on the window that pops up
    • Changed the Mission field on top of the datacard to display own flight task instead of sortie name
    • Introduced length checks in WP names, Airfield names and Airfield ILS fields (orange + message box if there is risk of overlapping)
    • Increased font size for the Bullseye coordinates
    • In Notes cards, the red button pops a color picker dialog, to select font color, rather than only red/blue
    • In Mission Datacard, replaced the buttons to set WP as TGT with the context menu (right click) on the WP Name --> "Send Coords to Notes#1"

you know what would be cool if I understand with what you have done so far would be to make it an app for Ipad we use this in RL except we call it an EFB Electronic Flight Bag I myself would not be adverse to paywear
